My Review of the 28 July – 23 August 2026 Tour to Guyana, French Guiana, Suriname, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Paraguay I believe everyone has different expectations when choosing a tour and a tour operator — some look for the cheapest price, others want a packed itinerary from 7am to 9pm to feel they are getting value for money, and so on. For me, what matters most is peace of mind. I want to leave Malaysia knowing everything has been planned well and planned ahead, to be happy throughout the journey, and to return home feeling satisfied. All the hassle should rest on the shoulders of the agency — and this is exactly why GWTT was the right choice for me. Before departure, severe damage to Caracas Airport led Airlines to cancel our flight, and right up to the day before we were due to leave, we were told we would need to purchase new tickets to Valencia. Thankfully, GWTT stepped in to re-arrange everything. Even though the last-minute booking came at a higher cost, they committed to absorbing the difference themselves. On the day we were flying to Colombia, we learned that an earthquake had been reported there the day before. GWTT quickly gathered the information and reassured us that our itinerary would go ahead as planned, as the affected areas were not among the places we would be visiting. We were able to board our flight with complete peace of mind. Throughout the trip, our tour leader consistently kept us informed of the risks and safety measures to observe before landing, especially in Venezuela and Colombia. As for our tour guide, Mr Salem — he is not the type to carry sambal belacan to serve at meals, nor the "boyfriend" type who constantly asks how you're feeling. Our second time booked through them. First trip was Beijing private tours and second was club med Beidahu for small Family of 5. Service was tip top and efficient. Dear GWTT, I would like to express my appreciation for the overall arrangements and service provided during our recent New Zealand trip. Firstly, the transport arrangements for our group of 8 passengers were very comfortable and well-organised, which made our journey smooth and enjoyable throughout. Secondly, we would like to commend the driver assigned to us in the South Island. He was friendly, professional, and consistently helpful, going the extra mile to ensure our comfort and safety. In addition, the accommodation provided was clean, comfortable, and met our expectations, allowing us to rest well after each day of travel. Before departure, family members and friends reminded us that Mexico has poor security, with drug-related riots occurring in many areas, and that Central American countries are backward and poor, with inadequate infrastructure. After joining the GWTT tour group and traveling through Mexico and seven Central American countries, we realized that many people's impressions of Mexico and Central America differ greatly from reality. The hotels we stayed in Mexico City, Merida, and Cancun were all very luxurious and comfortable, with safe surroundings where we could freely stroll. At the hotel in the capital Mexico City, we saw many police patrol cars nearby and officers on duty, which gave a strong sense of security. Mexico and the Central American countries are home to numerous Mayan civilization ruins, each with unique characteristics. Many of these are UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites, well worth visiting. Additionally, Central America features many garden hotels, churches, museums, and government buildings rich in Spanish architectural style. These were all built during the period of Spanish colonial rule, and wandering through them feels like being in a city in Spain. The GWTT travel itinerary covers the major cities and tourist hotspots of Mexico and Central America, allowing us to visit and experience many diverse sights and activities. For example, the world-famous Chichen Itza pyramid, the Great Blue Hole in Belize, volcano crater skateboarding in Nicaragua, the night view of countless lights on the mountains in Costa Rica, and getting up close by boat to watch the Panama Canal locks operate—all of these were truly eye-opening. Additionally, March is the best season to admire the colorful flowering trees lining the roadsides in Central American countries, with blossoms everywhere, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene. The four of us joined the 26-day tour of Mexico and seven Central American countries organized by GWTT for the first time, upon a friend’s recommendation. We were very satisfied with the services provided by GWTT. During the trip, whether it was the food, accommodation, transportation, or the attractions we visited, we had an excellent travel experience that left us with wonderful memories. Central America’s main tourism focus is the ancient Maya civilization. The Maya ruins we visited across several Central American countries were not all the same; with careful observation, you can notice some differences. For example, some sites cover a vast area and consist of relatively complete, large pyramid complexes, while in other places the pyramids are more scattered and sparse. In terms of shape, some are very tall while others are shorter; some are the typical square form, while others are circular. On top of certain pyramids, exquisite carvings have been preserved, while in other areas various stone statues stand scattered around. In short, Maya pyramids in different regions each have their own unique characteristics. If you are interested in history and ancient civilizations, Mexico and Central America are highly recommended destinations. This trip to Mexico and Central America left a deep impression on us. The pyramid at Chichen Itza in Mexico, the beautiful bay of Cancun, the Blue Hole in Belize, and the Panama Canal are all must-visit destinations in a lifetime. During this trip, we took many memorable photos—it was an unforgettable journey. Thank you, GWTT! We look forward to joining another exotic tour organized by GWTT next time. We had a wonderful trip to Yunnan managed by Global World Tour & Travel. All the arrangements including hotels, food, restaurants, itinerary, transport for us are great.
